Deputy Sheriff
The Hancock County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a deputy sheriff position until October 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
Please submit your application, along with a cover letter, resume, certified copy of your birth certificate or proof of U.S. citizenship, high school diploma or GED, college transcripts (if applicable), military discharge form DD-214 (if applicable), and ILEA law enforcement officer certification (if applicable) to 875 State Street PO Box 70, Garner, Iowa, 50438.
The Hancock County Sheriff's Office will notify applicants of the testing schedule. Lateral transfer is allowed for applicants who are currently Iowa-certified peace officers in good standing.
